BVD Returns to the European Stage at ADDE’s Annual General Assembly

This weekend, the European dental industry gathered for the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the Association of Dental Dealers in Europe (ADDE), held under the banner of "One Dental Voice". The event marked a dynamic return of the Belgian Dental Association (BVD) to the European stage and brought together key figures from across the continent to discuss the future of the profession.

The agenda, curated by Dominique Deschietere, was forward-looking and ambitious, focusing on innovation and strategic development. Highlights included powerful presentations on:

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the dental sector, led by Alan Patek Fabik

• Digital and online communication trends, presented by Michael Mollath from IDS online GmbH

While the event looked boldly toward the future, it also paid tribute to the past. After more than two decades of service, Mr. Jean Martin-Dondoz formally handed over the representation of LeCOMIDENT to Tamara Fayolle. Her long-standing commitment to the profession and fresh perspective were welcomed enthusiastically by the assembly.

Tamara was also elected as a new member of the ADDE Board, bringing renewed energy to a team that otherwise continues unchanged – a testament to its stability and effectiveness.

Dr. Pavel Smazik, President of ADDE, reflected on the milestone, stating

“I’m proud to welcome BVD back to the European scene and to witness this new momentum for ADDE. I look forward to beginning my fourth decade of service with this incredible organisation.”

The event reaffirmed ADDE's mission to serve as the united voice of dental distributors in Europe, fostering collaboration, innovation, and progress in a rapidly evolving market.
